Dear Friend or Business Representative,

Greetings from Mt. Shasta!  The Friends of the Mount Shasta Avalanche Center’s 10th annual SNOW BALL fund-raiser is just around the corner and we’d love your help once again to make this event successful.

The Snow Ball is a celebration of the winter season, open to all ages, with dancing to a lively band, beverages, a silent auction and huge gear raffle.

FMSAC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2002, Federal Tax ID# 51-0620242.  Our mission is to support the Mt Shasta Avalanche Center in its efforts to enhance public awareness of backcountry avalanche hazards.  The event will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012.

Over the last 9 years, FMSAC has:

*  Raised over $75,000 for the Mt. Shasta Avalanche Center

*  Enhanced community safety by promoting free avalanche education opportunities and increasing access to weather and snowpack information

*  Installed new remote weather stations in frequently used backcountry areas

*  Purchased needed equipment and software to repair and update existing stations

*  Provided trained members to assist Avalanche Center professionals

*  Offered scholarships to community members to begin or continue their avalanche education

*  Helped keep the Avalanche Center in operation as Federal funds have fallen over 80%.

For more information about FMSAC, or if you would like to become involved in our fundraising efforts, please contact our organization at the addresses below.
